Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Project Management, you will also liaise with the Technical department, internal and external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective governance of all finance processes.

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial development, implementation, and control of insurance products. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Project Management, you will also liaise with the Technical department, internal and external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective governance of all finance processes.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of the Financial Framework and end-to-end system testing of new insurance products from an accounting perspective, with a special focus on IFRS standards.
- Develop and implement controls related to business processes and data flows between different systems for specific insurance products.
- Produce weekly and monthly reconciliation files, detailing the work performed.
- Manage manual and automatic insurance postings for specific products.
- Assist the Accounting and Controlling Teams with monthly closing tasks in areas where your controls and account management are relevant.
- Liaise with Project Product Owners and attend product development meetings to determine new controls needed and recommend improvements for data transfer and manual processes.
- Assist in the design and roll-out of ad hoc Financial Projects.
- Assist the Head of Financial Project Management with ad hoc tasks and action points.
- Participate in the Control and Compliance Committee and Risk Management Committee.
Requirements:
- Qualified accounting professional or in the final stages of obtaining an accounting degree or master’s.
- 3+years of experience in accounting or finance roles, showcasing expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and controls.
- Bonus points for insurance industry and project oversight experience with exposure to IFRS 17.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
