Accounts Payable Supervisor

One of our esteemed clients operating in the manufacturing industry is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor. The ideal candidate will need to continuously work within the finance team to deliver exceptional results, prepare timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with group policy and accounting standards. Actively participate in delivering Operational Excellence in Finance and display the company’s values.

Main responsibilities:

Check, verify and process invoices.
Prepare payments for authorisation.
Sort, code and enter accounts payable data.
Analyse discrepancies and unpaid invoices.
Maintain vendor files.
Manage creditor balances.
Management of petty cash.
Other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business.

Requirements:

Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) is a must.
Familiarity with Finance day-to-day functions.
Planning and Organising skills.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of Sage X3 would be considered an asset.
Being a team player but also self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative and on your own.
Must also handle tight deadlines and work under pressure when required. Ability to influence both finance and non-finance people.
Be able to correspondence both verbally and through documents using very good English language and grammar skills.
Constantly strive to improve processes.
Work with teams to implement changes.
