Inkmill Process Lead

We are seeking an experienced Inkmill Process Lead to oversee the SSQCDP (Safety, Service, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) management and drive process improvements within the prepress department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Currency in terms of the Central Bank and Security Features/Polymer propositions
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making and to provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle.
  • Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division.
  • Drive SSQCDP Management through the shop floor management system.
  • Manage job ink procurement, logistics and planning, as well as formulations and consumptions monitoring for all divisions.
  • Manage ink stock in WIP and maintain stock cycle times within set targets.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement exercises while promoting team integration and participation.
  • Ensuring ink quality analysis capability and capacity where applicable.
  • Deliver and enhance QCPs within Prepress BAU operations to enable improved efficiency and analytical capabilities.
  • Iterative development and upkeep of standard operation procedures, FMEAs and control plans including ensuing retraining plans where necessary.
  • Understand the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • In possession of a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a science subject.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Technical aptitude, either formal or experiential.
  • Quality assurance awareness and problem-solving acumen.
  • Continuous improvement expertise with a lean manufacturing approach.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Security print experience would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
