About the Role:

As an IT Support Technical Officer, you will be the first point of contact for IT support, ensuring smooth and efficient technical operations. You will be responsible for first-level support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops, printers, and other office IT systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in an office environment, has a keen eye for detail, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level IT support to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, and office IT systems.
  • Use a ticketing system to track and manage support requests.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Ensure systems are updated and running optimally.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to improve IT processes.
  • Be available for weekend and holiday shifts when required.
Requirements (Must-Haves):
  • Diploma in IT with a focus on hardware.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and office technology.
  • Basic experience with Windows 10 workstations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems for support management.
  • Some knowledge of basic networking and network printers.
  • A valid driving license to drive in Malta.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Cisco or Microsoft certification.
  • Understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies such as Office 365.
  • Ability to think critically and apply a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, meticulous, and proactive in tackling IT challenges.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • A strong team player who is motivated, innovative, and adaptable.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and take on responsibilities.
  • Open to learning new technologies and approaches.
