Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance/Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of all facilities, performing regular repairs, and handling a wide range of tasks to ensure that the property remains in excellent condition. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building’s infrastructure to identify and resolve any maintenance issues.
  • Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting work as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain an environment that prioritizes safety for employees and guests.
  • Work closely with the Events and Facilities team to ensure minimal disruption during events and activities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize the need for emergency repairs.
  • Liaise with external contractors when required for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure proper stock levels.
  • Assist with any other maintenance-related tasks as needed.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role, ideally in a hospitality or facilities management setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to respond to emergency situations when necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).
