Mechanical Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for resource allocation, monitoring personnel efficiency, and ensuring adherence to health and safety practices in work areas and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to schedules.
Allocate tasks to personnel, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Communicate directly with clients and suppliers, addressing their needs and ensuring high service quality.
Manage stock inventory, control parts supply, and ensure proper organisation of materials.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to meet deadlines and resolve operational issues.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, performing risk assessments and safety checks.
Foster a collaborative environment by interacting with team members and stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry.
Mechanical engineering qualification from a recognised institution.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Maltese.
Valid driving license and good computer literacy.
Experience with stock control, parts supply, and inventory management.
