Mechanical Site Supervisor

As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire-fighting, and plumbing, on construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of mechanical subcontractors and tradespeople on site.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety measures on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect and test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
  • Material Management: Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver quality work.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspection reports, and handover certificates.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Technical diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical site supervision on construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, fire-fighting, and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
