Security Compliance Lead
One of our clients in the manufacturing industry, located in the South of Malta, is looking for a Security Compliance Lead to establish, implement, maintain, follow up on identified issues and continually improve a Security Audit Program covering Physical, Product and Transportation Security aspects, processes, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and minimise security risks throughout the value chain affecting the local plant operations and Group wide Security Compliance activities. The efforts of the Security Compliance Lead will directly contribute to the enhancement of the existing Security Management System therefore is an essential component of the system.

One of our clients in the manufacturing industry, located in the South of Malta, is looking for a Security Compliance Lead to establish, implement, maintain, follow up on identified issues and continually improve a Security Audit Program covering Physical, Product and Transportation Security aspects, processes, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and minimise security risks throughout the value chain affecting the local plant operations and Group wide Security Compliance activities. The efforts of the Security Compliance Lead will directly contribute to the enhancement of the existing Security Management System therefore is an essential component of the system.
Main responsibilities:
- Understand all security policies and procedures applicable
- Understand Corporate Policies, Security Standards (including ISO 14298) and other Codes of Practices demanded by the organisation at any time
- Establish and maintain a security internal audit plan highlighting elements to be audited and their frequency on a day-to-day basis
- Establish and maintain an employee and contractor cyclic screening plan (background checks & vetting)
- Conduct internal audits as per established plan ensuring sound communication with auditees prior to the audit to ensure efficient execution of audit
- Process and confirm all areas regularly to maintain high security presence, addressing and reporting all anomalies according to internal procedures.
- Conduct internal audits in a responsible, ethical and professional manner in order to facilitate communication with auditees and obtain information and evidence efficiently
- Report audit findings in a structured manner and maintain adequate record-keeping of all audit work sheets, checklists and reports
- Ensure accurate, robust and clear security audit procedures are being followed
- Input Nonconformities, Observations and/or Opportunities for Improvements in a central database in order to facilitate communication with the process owner who is responsible to document a planned corrective action to resolve issue
- Follow up on open issues raised during audits with the responsible person
- Actively participate and assist in all improvement suggestions including conducting investigation to resolve issues.
- Assist in the monitoring of security processes and advising production staff of the correct security procedures
- Report immediately any major or critical breaches of security to the Security, HSE & Risk Manager
- Liaise with the Security, HSE & Risk team to implement prescribed security procedures and practices, including the effective integration with the manufacturing processes for all operations on site
- Collaborate with other departments and forge a close working relationship with all process leaders and staff to ensure highest security levels in production including effective plans of action to always uphold security conformity and compliance
- Provide advice and guidance to all employees to ensure procedures are followed and understood
- Supervise sensitive security movements
Requirements:
- Security qualification such as City and Guilds, BTEC, SIA, NVQ or similar
- Security team experience is desirable
- Product Security experience
- Security auditing experience
- Problem solving skills and experience
- Computer literate – experience working with databases, Word, Excel and similar programmes
- Previous experience with ISO14298 is ideal, however experience with ISO9001 combined with knowledge of product/material control processes can qualify
- Professional, impartial and diligent approach to work
- Observant, inquisitive, eye for detail
- Calm, analytical, respectful, trustworthy, steadfast and open-minded
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to coordinate and moderate a team of people for problem solving
