Senior IT Systems Administrator (must be in Malta)

We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure for seamless operations. In this role, you will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software across locations, monitor server room environments, and optimise system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems (Windows), software, and applications.
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights in a Hybrid Active Directory environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to various systems, including CCTV, punch clocks, and IoT devices.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of server rooms, ensuring all equipment (servers, switches, routers, UPSes, and other hardware) operates without issues.
  • Document solutions, processes, and tasks thoroughly for reference and training.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Work on diverse technologies, such as security and vulnerability management, remote site setup, and network configurations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft application software, particularly Office 365.
  • Experience with M365, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Endpoint Manager.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including IP, DHCP, DNS, and routing, with the ability to patch Ethernet cables.
  • Self-motivated, capable of independent research to explore and implement new products and solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT roles.
  • Demonstrates a quick learning ability and a commitment to continuous skill development.
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
  • IT certifications, especially those from Microsoft, are considered an advantage.
