One of our esteemed clients is seeking a dedicated Stores Assistant to join their team in Malta. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store and warehouse. Please note that applicants must be legally residing in Malta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Store incoming merchandise, ensuring a proper shelving system is maintained.
- Ensure products are properly labelled.
- Assist with inventory control and stock-taking.
- Maintain a clean and organised store environment.
- Assist during special events or promotions.
- Handle store maintenance tasks such as lighting, fixtures, and equipment.
- Perform routine upkeep of store equipment (e.g., cleaning, minor repairs).
- Pick items for customer orders or transfers between stores.
- Organise and maintain the warehouse efficiently.
- Assist in warehouse inventory management.
- Assist delivery personnel as needed, both at the warehouse and at client premises.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Storekeeper or Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be legally residing in Malta and currently present in the country.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
