Technical Designer/Fire Doors

The Technical Designer will specialise in fire doors, fire stopping, and passive fire protection systems. This role involves designing cost-effective, compliant solutions that meet project requirements while coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fire Compartmentation Design

Develop detailed designs for fire compartmentation systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
Design and specify fire doors, fire stopping, and other passive fire protection systems to align with project scope and requirements.

2. Project Coordination

Collaborate with project management and commercial teams to ensure designs integrate smoothly into overall project plans.
Conduct site surveys to assess installation quality and functionality of fire protection systems.

3. Quality Assurance and Compliance

Monitor project progress to identify and resolve any design issues, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations and company standards, including ISO and LPCB requirements.

4. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design revisions, calculations, and communications.
Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

5. Team Development and Training

Mentor junior team members in fire protection design principles and best practices.
Lead internal training sessions on new fire protection technologies and standards.
