Accountant 

We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Accountant for one of our international clients in the oil and gas industry, job location is in Malta. As an Accountant, you’re expected to be highly skilled and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, and extensive experience in preparing and analysing financial records. Adept at utilising accounting software and systems. As an integral member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks and reports
• Ensure all financial reporting deliverables are completed timely and comply with business and policies and standards, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Assist with management of accounting/bookkeeping processes.
• Produce accurate and factual reporting to show overall financial health of the business
• Assist the Senior Accountant in financial management accounting and reporting procedures to support the company’s strategic business planning and forecasted growth
• Support account reconciliations and other bookkeeping services, as needed

Requirements:

• Experience in Accounting or financial roles of 4-5 years (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or related field
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Strong financial analysis skills and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Highly analytical and extreme attention to detail required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and to work with a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and accounting software
