Roles: Accounts and Payroll Officer

We are looking for a Accounts and Payroll officer who will be responsible for managing every aspect of the payroll process, including communicating with clients to collect the hours and communicating with employees regarding enquires. 

They also assist with accounts management / execution and report to the Managing Director.

Accounts – related Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check for any payments received and allocate to the client
  • Ensure cheques are deposited and photocopied
  • Writing and issuing cash wages cheques
  • Keep records updated of all cashed and pending cheques
  • Monitor and record incoming payments
  • Continuously updating statements of all our clients
  • Communicating with clients and chasing for worked hours on monthly basis.
  • Filling and record keeping
  • Accounts Receivable

Payroll duties:

  • Collecting the hours from staff as well as, timesheets sent by clients
  • Issue the Friday weekly and monthly report based on payroll
  • Applying for Social security number – online
  • Responsible for the calculation and issue of monthly payroll and payslips via our Payroll System
  • Following up on any wage claims from the employees and ensuring they are resolved.
  • Collecting timesheet from employees
  • Liaising with the Accounts & Finance Executive to settle client pending payments
  • Preparation of the monthly FS5 returns
  • Assist the Accounts & Finance Executive with the preparation of the FS7

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Accounting and Payroll in a Maltese Company
  • Experienced in using Sage and Shireburn Software
  • Fluent in English
  • Currently based in Malta
