Accounts Clerk (Applicants MUST be in Malta)

One of our esteemed clients, is looking for a full-time ‘Accounts Clerk’ to join their finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining general ledgers and general bank postings
  • Maintaining the creditor’s ledger, posting of invoices, raising payments to local suppliers on a timely basis, and reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
  • Assisting in the daily sales reconciliations
  • Sending monthly statements and chasing receivables
  • Preparing bank deposits
  • Filing and administration tasks
  • Work in collaboration with the Finance Manager 
  • Performing any other duties of an administrative and accounting nature as may be delegated from time to time

Person Specification:

  • 2-3 years of Finance & Accounting environment
  • A-Level qualification in Accounts and/or starting ACCA
  • Work experience in an office environment and knowledge of basic office skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office tools)
  • Knowledge and previous experience in Shireburn Software Computer Systems will be considered an asset
  • Excellent English & Maltese written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise day-to-day tasks
  • Must be highly motivated with an ability to take ownership
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team
