Accounts Executive – Construction

Our client a leader in Malta’s Hospitality & Leisure sector are currently looking for a Accounts Executive to join their dynamic team and be part of their latest expansion and upcoming project.

We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering high-quality service. As part of the day-to-day duties, they will be responsible for reconciling banks, credit card accounts, intercompany balances, and others. They will be responsible for compiling daily revenue reports, liaising with suppliers, and liaising with the rest of the team to help in the day-to-day problem-solving. Apart from the day-to-day duties they will also be responsible for any other administrative duties and ad hoc reporting as required by the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payments and preparation of payment runs
  • Inputting of general invoices and posting of key accounting entries
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Reconciliation of credit card accounts
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances
  • Preparing and compiling accrual and prepayments
  • Liaising with Project Manager to obtain confirmation of invoices and contracts
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve issues
  • Ad hoc reporting as required by the Financial Controller
  • Filing in statutory statistics forms such as NSO
  • Handling day-to-day requirements within the Accounts department

Requirements

  • Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
  • Minimum experience of 2 years in Accounting and an O’ level or A’ level standard in Accounts is a must
  • Proven work experience in a similar position in an accounting office
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Acumatica accounting software will be considered an asset
