Accounts Revenue Officer
One of our clients, in the FMCG industry is currently seeking to employ an Accounts Revenue Officer to work at their offices on a full-time basis.
This position entails the timely and effective collection of the company’s dues. Maintaining communication with customers regarding payment status discrepancies and payment plans, whilst showing a professional work attitude at all times. The chosen candidate will perform day-to-day accounting functions, maintain accounting records and perform other administrative duties.
Job responsibilities:
- Posting and verifying details of business transactions
- Ensuring timely and effective collections of due receivable balances
- Check customers payment status, discrepancies and plan accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of incoming payments
- Posting payments against appropriate invoices
- Maintaining general ledgers and journal entries
- Reconciling bank accounts, statements and records, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Issuing debtors’ and creditors’ lists and statements
- Ensuring that the Company’s financial regulations are adhered to
- Performing standard office procedures including processing mail, answering customer phone calls, ordering supplies, typing and filing
- Filing documents, papers, letters and records for quick and easy access and retrieval; maintaining and updating files; ensuring that all outgoing documents are registered for easy traceability
- Ensuring a high-quality standard of work and services throughout
- Performing any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
Person Specification:
- A good level of education
- A-level standard in Accounting would be an asset
- At least 1 year of clerical accounting experience
- Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new systems
- Speak English and Maltese fluently
