Assistant Manager Reservations

One of our clients, a fast-growing hospitality group operating in some of Europe’s most exciting locations, is looking for an Assistant Manager Reservations to support the Reservations Departments in both Munich and Malta. The main aim of this role is to exceed guests’ expectations and ensure that the reservation process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assuming deputy leadership of the reservations team and the centralised front office
  • Maximising guest satisfaction while continually increasing revenue goals and minimising reservation costs
  • Be the expert and consultant for all operational tasks as well as optimisation of individual bookings
  • Planning the shifts of the reservations agents to ensure optimal capacity utilisation of the department
  • Responsible for the onboarding and coaching of co-workers on site at the Front Office Area in the company’s hotels
  • Maintaining the PMS System and co-responsible for coordinating and monitoring the online booking engines and front office kiosk system in collaboration with the Revenue & Distribution/Group Reservations/Marketing departments.

Requirements:

  • Professional training or completed studies in the field of hotel management
  • A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in the areas of reservation or front office and at least 2 years of experience in managing a team of more than 5 employees
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills
  • A high degree of commitment and self-motivation
  • A team player with a high sense of responsibility and quality consciousness
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and good knowledge of reservation systems
  • Excellent written & spoken German and English skills
