Clothing Shop Manager – MUST BE IN MALTA

One of our clients, a luxury retail shop, is looking for a full time ‘Clothing Shop Manager’  to manage the store.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for receiving merchandise for the store; pricing and displaying the product in an appealing and fashionable manner
  • Assist in hiring, educating, terminating and motivating staff in providing exceptional customer service and care.
  • Dealing with suppliers, determining the physical attributes of products to purchase and what merchandise to purchase, performing inventory
  • Training staff on how to manage cash and credit card transactions, handling returns and refunds, dealing with customer complaints.
  • Help organise and manage advertising campaigns, deals and promos.
  • Adhere and enforce dress code.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and order.
  • Oversee maintenance and up-keep of the store including contacting maintenance and other services such as cleaning, bookkeeping, tax preparation and repair services as needed.
  • Engage with customers, providing assistance as required.
  • Help improve and maintain brand image.
  • Able to work flexible hours on a 7-day roster
  • Must speak fluent English   

 Person Specification:

  • 1-2 years of  supervisory/managerial experience  in a similar role 
  • A Diploma or an equivalent qualification would be considered an asset
  • Possess good organisational management; teamwork; communication; motivational and leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Be able to delegate tasks as required
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to close sales effectively
  • A positive attitude and committed to the role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Any other language would be considered an asset
