Construction / Works Manager

One of our clients, is looking for a Construction / Works Manager (MUST BE IN MALTA ). Shall work as part of the project and facilities team. Reporting directly to the Projects Director, working hand in hand with the Company’s Procurement Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

·        Plan and derive work plans including detailed schedule of works and tasks (Work Programmes)

·        Administer contracts of works and activities

·        Coordination of works including liaison with contractors, subcontractors and internal maintenance team

·        Lead and manage progress meetings including action plans and follow-ups

·        Assist in technical team coordination

·        Ensure that OHSA and Safety plans are adhered to including work practices

·        Produce weekly and monthly progress reports

·        Coordinate and administer requirements relative to commissioning and transition to operational processes

·        Assist in cost control and value engineering exercises

·        Manage the administrative work relative to projects and upgrading activities.

·        Liaises and coordinate with third parties including local council, regulatory authorities and the like

Qualifications:

·        3 years’ experience in a similar of equivalent role

·        Management qualification of the Middle Management level or equivalent

·        Technical capabilities in the form of reading drawings, and technical matters

·        Good coordination skills and team player

·        Basic use of Microsoft tools including MS Project and ACAD
