Engineering and Maintenance Manager

One of our clients a leader in the hospitality and leisure sector, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager, with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, to represent the operations team in project design, procurement and development. This individual will be involved directly in projects to oversee the works and subsequently taking charge of maintenance once construction is complete.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure that all maintenance-related aspects of the project are considered and integrated into the construction plan.
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance efforts during the construction phase to ensure the project meets the required standards and timelines.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for the complex post-construction, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and workers, providing training, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to procure necessary maintenance supplies and services.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement energy-saving and sustainability practices in the maintenance operations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance records and reports for management review.
  • Implement and maintain CMMC system.
  • Report to the Head of Engineering.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a maintenance management role, and ideally also in the construction or facilities management industry.
  • Experience with CMMS system is an asset.
  • Ideally with experience in hospitality operations
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, construction processes, and building maintenance principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction and maintenance industry.
