Floor Manager (Must be in Malta or an EU Citizen / able to relocate easily)

A client of ours, one of the leading department stores on the island, is looking for Retail Sales Supervisors to join the store’s management team. 
The role forms an integral part of the store’s team and will involve the effective day to day management and development of the retail store ensuring overall store performance, developing operational action plans to meet agreed-upon sales and profit targets, and conducting successful lead generation while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team. The successful candidate will be hands-on and has a positive leadership style and a passion for delivering excellent customer service levels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the competitive environment and discusses adjustments necessary to maintain the company’s competitive position;
  • Ensures store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines;
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the company’s product range;
  • Communicate and collaborate with all members of the organization, as well as its suppliers and clients;
  • Ensure that the outlet shall always be clean, and well-stocked with the appropriate display models.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as a Retail Sales Supervisor / Team Leader in a retail environment;
  • Knowledge of standard retail processes such as stock ordering, stock turn, and product merchandising;
  • Financial awareness with a proven ability to manage, maintain, and work within defined budgets;
  • Self-motivated individual who can work on own initiative and manage own time effectively;
  • Leadership Skills;
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
  • Be Customer-focused;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of all personnel.
