IT Administrator (Must be in Malta)

One of our clients is looking to recruit an experienced IT Administrator, who will be responsible for controlling, maintaining, and developing all the existing systems and future upgrades necessary to maintain the technological needs based on the latest technologies and company growth plans.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Developing innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs.
  • Collaborating closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network.
  • Monitoring changing network technology and deliver a technology update and costs to the senior management.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software and hardware issues.
  • Answering questions or resolving computer problems in person, via telephone or electronically.
  • Providing help concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
  • Providing basic network TCP/IP support.
  • Installing new hardware and software.
  • Seeking out and implementing methods to improve efficiency.
  • Working with third party vendors as necessary to resolve issues with various systems.
  • Overseeing the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Overseeing IT special projects as instructed by management.
  • Provide 24/7 on call support..

Person Specification:

  • Preferred a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Preferred previous working experience within the hospitality and catering, IT environment
  • Multi-tasking ability with a hands-on approach
  • Proficient in network management and security
  • Ability to communicate across all organisational levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Electrician’s licence A&B or equivalent.
  • IT savvy
