Job Responsibilities:
One of our clients is looking for a Marine Mechanic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing marine engines ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner
- Diagnosing faults whilst being able to read schematics, electrical diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals
- Ensuring engines are thoroughly examined and reporting verbally and in writing the general condition
- Accompanying the vessel on sea trials following overhauls and repairs
- Ensuring that the company time recording procedures are complied with, while job cards write ups are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Advising line manager of any potential problems and inherent dangers involved
- Operating in a safe manner all equipment and power tools and applying best safe working practices at work while performing duties whilst ensuring optimum use
- Performing preventive maintenance as and when required
- Taking note and reporting all materials, parts and consumables used
