Planner and Scheduler

Planner and Scheduler (Construction Projects)

One of our clients in the hospitality industry, is looking for a Project Planner and Scheduler for one of its upcoming projects, responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to create and maintain project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure that construction projects are executed efficiently and on time.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project schedules that encompass all phases of construction, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to various projects to ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project timelines
• Identify critical paths within project schedules and proactively manage potential delays by proposing solutions and adjustments
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to align their schedules with project timelines and monitor their progress
• Identify and assess potential risks to project schedules and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays
• Regularly track and report project progress against the established schedule, highlighting any deviations and proposing corrective actions
• Assess the impact of change orders on project schedules and work with stakeholders to minimize disruptions
• Maintain open and effective communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed of schedule changes and project status

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in construction project planning and scheduling
• Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in construction
