Main responsibilities:

Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will primarily be responsible for:
  • Carrying out project planning duties including but not limited to planning, scheduling, sequencing, site logistics and support of project and construction management.
  • Preparing, managing and updating planning programmes and schedules as required, using appropriate tools while tracking project milestones and deliverables, and communicating as needed with the project team throughout.
  • Ensuring full knowledge and understanding of the sequencing of work adopted in the programmes.
  • Supporting the Senior Partner with the development and delivery of progress reports and any other reports requested, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Preparing explanatory drawings in Acad or other similar programmes/software.
  • Measuring, quantifying and estimating works and production rates from drawings and records.
  • Assisting the Project Management Team to put together monitoring schemes, analysis reports, updates, case studies and other reporting as required periodically.
  • Proactively managing changes, identify potential crises, and devising contingency plans when and as necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, national and international health and safety and construction/industry regulations.
  • Supporting and following up on QA/QC project plans and associated communications documents for different projects.


Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Construction or Project Management.
  • A proven track record with several years’ experience working in a construction environment and with Project Planning delivery of complex and/or large scale varied projects.
  • Highly cognisant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad, Primavera and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge in BIM and/or other related design systems would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to work under pressure and to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Give attention to detail, influencing skills, assertiveness and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity.
  • Analytical and have a measured approach to decision-making, being able to take decisions as and when needed in the interest of efficiency.
  • Demonstrate resilience, leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • High level of integrity, motivation and a team player demonstrating an eager and positive work ethic.
