Restaurant Manager

One of the leading 4* hotels in Malta is looking for a Restaurant Manager to manage and oversee the operations of its main restaurant in the Northern part of the island. The successful candidate will be a mature person with an outgoing personality, who together with excellent leadership and communication skills is also assertive, well organised, and able to work under pressure in a high-standards environment.


  • Acknowledge, greet, seat, and host guests
  • Handle any inquiries received on the outlet’s phone
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of service, smart and well-trained staff who are directed and always coached
  • Control the emotions of any guest who is complaining, by adopting a caring and efficient manner, and follow up on any cases reported by the staff members
  • Be efficient, caring, and friendly in all communications, when dealing with guests and colleagues
  • Be professional, cooperative, a good team member, flexible, and agree to carry out instructions given by superiors
  • Conduct on the job training and ensure that standards, behaviour, and proper grooming are adhered to at all times


  • Good food and beverage background, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar environment
  • Possess leadership and training skills to be able to motivate and train a team of co-workers
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Have a flair for managing a busy operation
  • Willing to go the extra mile and be committed to ensure that guests/clients receive a pleasant, efficient and high-level service
  • Able to maximise profits and sales
  • Able to speak fluent English; another European language will be considered as asset
