Sales Associate

Our client is seeking a Sales Associate/Sales Advisor professional who embodies self-motivation and a natural inclination to drive sales. This role demands a genuine passion for jewellery (luxury) or Fashion and a commitment to surpassing customer expectations by delivering an exceptional experience.


  • Greeting all customers politely as they enter and leave the outlet
  • Assisting in reaching and exceeding the monthly sales target of the outlet
  • Conducting all sales-related activities mainly focusing on serving customers; using the right approach, knowing and understanding our  way of selling, handling, and escalating complaints/objections as required, identifying problems, sales negotiations, and closing of sales, maintaining confidentiality
  • Handling of after-sales and repairs, issuing quotes, and liaising with customer care and the client to completion
  • Creating a positive customer experience from start to finish; the employee needs to be tactful and courteous in  his/her approach at all times and needs to be assertive when dealing with complaints or customer issues
  • Keeping oneself informed about the Company, its products, items in stock, and organizational procedures
  • Participating in any courses the Company organizes from time to time, including brand training and training online
  • Being alert to fraudulent bank notes, cheques, or credit cards, general theft awareness, and implementation of security guidelines
  • Able to maintain high standards of display and visual merchandising to ensure the store is well presented
  • Following VM Standards specific to the company’s brand standards and the company’s way to displaying
  • Ensuring that the store is kept in immaculate condition at all time
  • Identifying sales opportunities and trends, and highlighting them to the Store Manager/ Sales Supervisor
  • Recognizing which stock is selling well and which is not and reporting to Sales Manager/ Sales Supervisor
  • Keeping track of all fast-moving packaging, ensuring the store is always well-stocked
  • Able to use the company software and register into the CRM system all customer data
  • Other duties as required


  • Checking deposits regularly, accepting deliveries, and organizing transfers in and out
  • Checking pending repairs and following up where necessary
  • Checking kept aside and other order requests from our clients and follow-up
  • Performing  daily cleaning duties, ensuring it is always in immaculate condition, organized and secure;
  • Operating the Company’s computer system and inputting customer-related information into the database
  • Reading and replying to relevant business e-mails and administrative duties during quiet periods of the day
  • On closing a sale, packaging, and wrapping of items to the required standards and issuing relevant certificates, guarantees and appraisals as required;
  • Ensuring that sold items are replaced as soon as possible, following the re-distribution procedure when possible
  • Counting cash float at the start of the day, change of shift, and at the end of the day with two employees present, and paper must be signed as proof
  • Ensuring that all items in the store are clean and have the necessary price cubes where Applicable
  • Ensuring the touch and feel are clean, and well-stocked and that each piece has the correct pricing
  • Ensuring that the shop has adequate cash change to operate efficiently


  • Ensuring that counting is done on a regular basis as instructed by management
  • Ensuring that stock control/insurance procedures are followed
  • Working as part of a team assisting colleagues and giving a proper handover when applicable which includes the tasks performed and the ones still pending.
  • Assisting and participating in any ad-hoc requirements as set by the business
  • Changing the “activity” zone upon receipt of new stock, this would entail changing all jewelry pieces and promotional materia


The candidate should ideally:

  • Have 2+ years’ experience in a dynamic sales environment, preferably in luxury retail
  • Have an O’level standard of education
  • Be computer literate and research savvy


  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and confidence
  • Self-motived and willing to learn about the business
  • A passion for sales and providing impeccable customer service
  • Fluency in English and any other languages will be considered an asset
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a keen, proactive approach towards business needs
  • Open to adopt new ideas and strategies
  • Must be a team player
