Are you an experienced HGV driver seeking a rewarding opportunity? Look no further! We are currently seeking dedicated candidates to join our client’s branch in Genova, Italy.
Responsibilities:
- Drive tractor-trailers in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conducting vehicle checks for any minor repairs needed on tractors or trailers.
- Reporting damages on fleet equipment upon takeover.
- Ensuring the proper loading/unloading and securing of cargo.
- Providing the shipper with CMR documents and verifying the shipper’s documentation.
- Handling customs clearance for non-EU cargo.
- Safely transporting cargo to the intended destination.
- Performing checks of the vehicle and cargo during the journey.
- Communicating with planners regarding delivery times and any issues encountered during the trip.
- Operating a lifter to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platforms to storage or work areas.
- always maintaining cleanliness of the cab’s interior and exterior.
- Adhering to good practices such as Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and proper handling of hazardous substances (ADR).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess a valid C+E driving license.
- Should hold a driving card (tachograph card).
- Must have the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Ideally, should have a minimum of one year of experience as an HGV driver.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in completing paperwork accurately and on time.
