We are in search of a seasoned Tender Specialist with a commercial orientation to bolster our engineering team. This pivotal role involves the meticulous compilation of tenders and quotations, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with our strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in sustaining the company’s growth and operational excellence, engaging in a diverse array of projects within the M&E sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender Preparation: Spearhead the development and submission of detailed tender documents. Analyse project drawings and specifications to accurately determine costs and project requirements.
• Quotation Development: Generate comprehensive quotations for clients, encompassing cost estimates, timelines, and project scopes, ensuring they are clear, competitive, and aligned with client expectations.
• Commercial Insights: Provide critical commercial insights during the tender preparation process, employing a strategic approach to pricing and bid submission to enhance the company’s market position.
• Cost Management: Conduct thorough cost analyses and estimations, ensuring optimal pricing strategies while maintaining project quality and compliance.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial and operational risks associated with project bids, devising and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure that project bids align with technical specifications and budgetary constraints. Offer ongoing support in cost management and financial forecasting throughout project lifecycles.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain robust communication channels with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Present tenders and quotations effectively, ensuring clarity and persuasiveness

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience as a Tender Specialist within the M&E services sector.
• Proficiency in tender preparation, cost estimation, and commercial strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with superior organisational and project management capabilities.
